Welcome to Virsa Sweets & Restaurant, Beaumont's home for authentic Indian and Punjabi cuisine, traditional sweets (mithai), and South Asian street food. Founded by Jarnail Basota and his son Gurbir Basota, our family carries the heritage of Punjab — "Virsa" means legacy — to every dish we serve. As a halal-certified, family-friendly restaurant in the heart of Beaumont, AB, we are proud to share the flavours our community in the Edmonton and Leduc region has come to love.

Our menu spans classic starters and chaat like crispy samosas and chole bhature, hearty mains such as beef biryani and butter chicken poutine, tandoor-fired breads, and an extensive sweets counter featuring fresh gulab jamun and live-made jalebi. We also operate an on-site halal meat shop — reportedly the first in Beaumont — offering premium cuts to local families. Every dish is made with premium ingredients, traditional spices, and deep-rooted Punjabi tradition.
